ClpC is a molecular chaperone of the Hsp100 family. There are two chloroplast-localized paralogs: ClpC1 (AT5G50920), ClpC2 (AT3G48870). ClpC2 may act as a suppressor of FtsH-mediated thylakoid membrane biogenesis and may enhance photoinhibition. |
